Trekking out of the Jungle

On September 22nd 2025 I trekked out of Mt Tawa village to the nearest road where I got on a bus to the town of Mount Hagen. I started my trek with a small group of people from Mt Tawa village around 9am. After saying my goodby's to the folks in Mt Tawa we headed out, trekking through the jungle and other villages until we came to a house around sundown near the village of Tiri where we spent the night. The next morning we headed out from there around 7am and made it to the road about 6pm that afternoon. We waited for four hours until a bus came by and we boarded the bus. We stopped around midnight and waited at Erave station until 4am, at which time we continued our journey until being dropped off at Ialibu. We got on another bus and drove to the town of Mount Hagen.
